Scooby-Doo Team-Up #1 (DC)

Rating: 4/5 – Great book for kids and the kid in all of us!

If you grew up watching Scooby-Doo OR if you have kids (or both) you should check out DC’s latest all ages Scooby book.  Writer Sholly Fisch has a great ability to write a story that’s truly all ages, meaning it’s accessible to kids but doesn’t talk down to the reader and is enjoyable by adults also.

In this issue the gang from Mystery Inc. is investigating reports of a bat creature when they run into Batman & Robin.  It was great fun for those who have watched the old shows to pick up the references to the cartoon episodes that featured Batman & Robin.

Artist Dario Brizuela has a nice clean style that captures a nice “on model” look of the Scooby gang and also blends in Batman & Robin looking like they fit right in.  This was a great comic for kids and the kid in all of us.
